I like softer pencils more but appreciate the lack of constant shapening and breakage I was getting with my other set. Main point is if you learn how to work with them and you can create some nice pictures. I was feeling limited using 12 and 24 colour sets and this budget friendly set was a chance to experience more choice. It's made me realise I probably don't need a huge fancy set of over a hundred colours as the more you have the more confusing it gets choosing and finding colours. Because they are a harder pencil, beware wreaking the surface of your paper esp when you have that nice sharp point. I should make the effort to learn their numbers maybe to save time? You can't put many layers sadly but with so many colours and how they an affordable set it's not such a big deal. I have other pencils with coloured ends and the are so hard to find in my tray. But as a budget pencil I guess can't be too fussy? Like that the whole barrell shows the colour even if it isn't exact.
I'd like names so figuring navy, black etc and some of the reds, greys would be easier. No breakages so far which is a big plus! So many nice colours. Like that they have a hard sharp point for detail.
